I appear today on Slate.com's "Hang Up and Listen" sports podcast with Stefan Fatsis, Josh Levin, and Mike Pesca. Join us as we talk about a few issues going into the season, including the Matt Leinart release and the idea of team projections as shades of gray rather than black and white.

Lots of players are moving hither and yon today, and we have a whole XP thread for that, but one of the biggest moves is a coaching move. There isn't much detail on the story now, but legendary offensive line coach Alex Gibbs has quit in Seattle, before the season even begins. That's just weird. Did he get tired and decide he's too old? Are players not responding to him? Or did they decide perhaps to do less zone blocking?
